Dr. Schlaudraff publishes in the journal Nature n°559

Dr. Schlaudraff is proud to be part of the Swiss team of scientists from Bart Deplancke’s lab at EPFL, Christian Wolfrum’s lab at ETHZ, and the Swiss Stem Cell Foundation whose study was published in the journal “Nature” in June 2018 .

This study discovered a new type of cell called “Aregs”, or “adipogenesis regulatory cells” found in the body’s fat deposits that can actively inhibit the formation of fat cells. This discovery opens a pathway in the fight against obesity and metabolic diseases, such as diabetes.
